"Would you like that for here or to go?"
Yeah, I'm going to take a medium iced tea and three open dishes in the backpack that I don't have. |

Let's see....
It's 107 degrees outside, when they see me in full gear - "Aren't you hot in that?" Answer: "I was HOT before I put it on and I'd like to stay that way." When they find out I ride at the track, usually high school band parents - "OMG isn't that DANGEROUS??!?!" Answer: "Have you been on IH35 lately? Because driving at 90 next to a 16-year-old texting to her best friend in mom's minivan isn't dangerous."

I once had a cop at Vanderbilt Hospital where I worked ask me what I rode. I told him a 2004 Ninja 250. He then said "Why do you need to wear all that gear you have on? Those bikes will only do like 90mph right?" I told him try dragging your bare ass down the road at 90mph and tell me how it feels. I then found out he had an R1 and likes to stunt and "go fast" every chance he gets. Go Figure. Cop Squid!

Oh and I was riding with a friend home from the HSTA rally in Helen GA and was up on Monteagle in about 40degree weather when some old redneck man walked up to me and said "man you sure must be a tough girl be to riding a motorcycle in such cold weather" I told him I had REALLY big ovaries. That got a priceless look as he walked away.

Not about the bike but I absolutely cannot stand when someone says "Can I ask you a question?"
You just did....now just ask the damn question. Azoomm....I get the "isn't that dangerous" about the track too. Safest place I've ever ridden. |

I walked into an old gas station in a small town somewhere to pay for my gas. About 6 necks were laying about and the man working there said "Whoa! for a minute I thought we had Evil Knievel waking in here" I instantly had "and I thought I was in Mayberry, Goober" in my mouth, but I choked it down since I was out numbered 6 to 1 and on their home turf.
