We actually got an AWESOME coffee maker recently. The Kurig 1 cup at a time deal. It's really good.

Yeah...they charge a quarter on the honor system. I pay a quarter for that stuff. It's good.

The coffee is so bad that the Taster's Choice instant crystals they stock tastes better.

As I said on the other forum... none of this shit matters. People aren't going to do an amazing job because of these little perks. The truth is, people will do an amazing job with little to no encouragement, no perks, and mediocre salary.... if you have the right people.
Think about it this way... All those little perks you have... if they went away tomorrow, would that change the quality of work you do? Would you quit? Or... if you got handed a company car, got all of your lunches comped, etc, etc... would that change the quality of work you do? If you answered 'no' to either of those, you don't have the right job. As I told my boss recently, I work and bust my ass cause that's what I do. Obviously I like money, obviously I like being promoted, obviously I like the fact that my company will move me across the country if an opportunity arises... that's not why I bust my ass... It's simply an inner drive to perform. That's it... it's just that simple. |

We DON'T have any of these perks, and I still come to work with a smile on my face and (contrary to what my post counts might indicate) bust my ass. I enjoy the actual WORK that I do, so I do it well. |

Don't get me wrong. I love my job. I'd rather have more money few perks vs. less money and more perks any day of the week. Perks don't pay my bills.
