Great deal. But, not one for me. I looked into it and I'd have to replace my entire headlight to efficiently make use of the system.

i have the 35w 4500k kit on my bike, been happy w/ it, but the draw is pretty high, it's reset my clock a few time, makes me think my battery is weak, cuz the clock reset itself some time between wed. evening and this morn. and it was chilly/cold last night.
anyway, the prob. w/ hi beam HIDs is that HIDs take a sec-2 to get up to full strength, now if you ride hi beams during the day no biggie, but i ONLY use my hi's to flash somebody , and by the time the lights get up to full power the incident is already over. + the HIDs are really bright to begin w/ so IMO hi's are not nec. 4500k is the most light output, when you start going higher in K's you loose light output. and i wouldn't recommend 55w on any bike unless you direct wire the lights to your battery. and even then it's really overkill. and could damage the wiring on your OE harness also on a bike, the lights turn on 2 times in a row in quick sucession, 1 x when you turn the key to the on position, and the 2nd after you release the engine start button, thats hard on HIDs and batterys, my sequence now is press the start button turn the key on (lights stay off) squeeze the clutch (which then starts the bike, but lights are still off) give it a sec. for the engine to get going release teh start button, the lights finally get turned on i have the DDMs in my 1 y.o. accord and 1 bulb has gone bad, it's not OUT in the sense it doesn't light up, but its not as bright as the other one. so i', gonna have to send back to them for them to replace it, which is a PITA, cuz then i gotta install my reg. bulbs while i wait for shipping back and forth then reinstall teh HIDs

the Hi/Lo kit is only for bikes that have bulbs with dual filiments.. ie H4 bulbs.
if your bike is like my 600RR where one bulb is for low the other for high... you either go with the dual bulb system and deal with the High taking a couple seconds to come on... or stick with a halogen high beam and get the single bulb system YOU COULD if you're good with electrical... do a conversion... to an H4 kit... but remember your reflector wasn't built for anything but a single beam pattern... so it wouldn't do you any good. |

Ok... Current setup
As shown I'm with ya guys on no need for a hid hi beam. I get that. Hell I rarely use the highbeam now. Plus when I do it kills my spot lights. And the idea of a delay for HID high beam sounds crazy. So the single is HID lo and halagon hi. Correct? I have a H4 headlight (dual filament inside 1 headlight). I have two spot lights with 881 bulbs. (fog light bulbs very common to cars). I love the light these put out all over. Am worried about wiring in an HID for these. You can barely see the black wire under the spot on the left of the pic (right side spot/left in pic). Look at the blue cabinet. Once from there it goes into the fairing them I'm home free. But how long are the wires from ballast to bulb???? I was considering if I can't do a HID on the 881. Perhaps the LED replacements. I have heard good things about the H7 and H4s but nothing about the little fog light sizes. gas if you go with the H4 hi/lo kit it's magnetically actuated... it moves a shield back and forth to flip to hi/lo so there will be no delay from low to high. the only delay will be when the light FIRST ignites.

Cause as somebody said, with the HID there is no need for the high beam. |

true... but for high speed runs I did use the hid highs on my cbr and ZZr.
that and I run highs during the day time... more noticeable. |

During the day is not an issue when you have the spot lights. Probably also the case when you consider night time riding. As it stands now there is a shit load of light out the front of the bike. It lights up 5 lanes wide plus shoulder. But more is still better.
I'm set on the H4. I just need to find out on the 881 spot light bulbs. |
