Remember all of those drunk/stoned sluts from back in college? They, too, have children.

Meh....that's the first one of those I've had in a couple of years...and I've done this 15-20 times per year for a while. Most of my interactions have been pretty positive, but I'm usually a little more proactive about screening; but this guy was an engineer (should have tipped me off right away) at one of the big defense contractors we have around here; you'd think he'd have a little sense, right?

Usually the no money squirrels hit you up with "I'll give you XXXX for it" (usually 1/2 of your listed price) right on their opening email...I don't answer those, just hit delete.

Anyway, don't let it discourage you from CL; it was worth a laugh or two....

WOW... 42 and he don't even know how banking works. WOW

I think I would have pulled my gun and told him... you have 3 seconds to leave on your own power... if not somebody will have to carry you.

A fair number of people around here have been dealing with buyers who show up to pick up the bike and tell them it's (say) $500.00 less than the agreed upon sum, or the deal is off.

I would laugh in their face and turn away. Simple, yet effective.

I'd do the same, but substitute "implied threat" for "laugh."

I've got my trailer up for sale on CL and so far it's been a colossal waste of my time; I've wasted several hours conversing with idiots via e-mail, taking more pics for them, asking questions that are answered in the fucking ad, showing them the trailer at home, etc. I had one person e-mail me 20x asking all sorts of questions about it and then ends it with "I think I'll go with a flatbed trailer."

The biggest douche was some guy that recently moved here from CT. He shows up in a fucking Prius and I'm thinking "OK, he must have another vehicle that can tow this with." After showing him how the trailer works, etc. I ask him what he will use it for and he says he's looking for something to tow 2 dirtbikes behind his Prius. Then he offers me 2/3 of my asking price. It was a quick "Sorry, but no thanks" from me and I sent him on his merry way.

I wouldn't mind so much but right now things are very crazy for us and I don't have the patience for this ridiculous shit. At the same time I need the space in the garage and this thing needs to go, so I'm forced to deal with it.
