you should be a half marathon is no joke.

I did one when I went through air assault school a few years ago, finished in 2:35 with a 35lb ruck sack and full body armor in combat boots. probably teh worst two and a half hours of my life.

Congratulations Laura. You've really accomplished something. Keep at it and the changes you want to see happen will. You'll start running longer and longer distances, and you'll start seeing other changes as well. Enjoy running more!

you SHOULD be proud. I only run for my annual black belt certification: 1.5 miles (at my age, 14 minutes or less). That's it.

Otherwise, I'd better be being chased

I am doing several 10k's and am on the fence about another half marathon in Malibu - along the coast highway. The idea of flying in, hanging at a hotel, running a race and flying home sounds decadent - but we'll see. There's several other local half marathons I'm contemplating - and next year's goal is a half ironman (I'm doing a couple triathalons this summer too!)
How are you both doing today for recovery? I know that was where I paid for it when I didn't train for my first half.

You are such an inspiration! This reminds me that I need to get my butt in gear as I have a half in like 8 weeks.

I envy you for doing the half ironman. A friend of mine is wanting me to do it next year with him, but I can barely swim 500 meters let alone the half ironman distance.

Sunday I was sore - stairs were out of the question, sitting down/standing up brought forth noises. Monday wasn't bad - no more than 2 stairs or someone would have to carry me and standing/sitting noises were more quiet. Tuesday all better. Signed up for 10k this weekend with my 16 year old daughter!

You should be. That is great that you achieved your goal.
