It may be old but it's very telling of society today. People just want to jump on the band wagon, ban something, or tell their friends they signed a petition to help ban something. The truth is, everything in this world, whether man made or natural, will kill you in excessive amounts.

Yeah, society today...people just wanna belong, jump on the bandwagon.

Oh wait, that's since all of known history, not just recently, my bad.

See: Religion.

...But, but, but....it's theoretically possible.

Lethal dose: smoke 1500 lbs in ten minutes.

Oh, wait, that's impossible. Right. What you said.

Who overdoses from smoking cigarettes? I've also always heard that it is impossible to OD from LSD but I'm not sure why that makes it "okay" or wise to use...

Fail.

LSD works by increasing the production of an existing brain chemical. Needless to say, the brain can only produce so much of anything all at once, so taking more than can be utilized will probably result only in a thinning of your wallet.

There is a very real lethal dose of Nicotine (a very powerful stimulant drug), and thus I don't believe the lethal does for cigs anywhere NEAR 1500 fucking pounds in 10 minutes...thus it's probably within the realm of "possible".

I know your "holier than thou" crap runs deep, and you're all perfect and shit, and you don't do drugs, and we're all fucking losers, and what not...but I regret to inform you that Cannabis is probably safer than fucking water...which can actually kill you quite easily, as a radio station contest participant found out a few years ago, the hard way.

Sorry, but that's highly unlikely...you see, while Cannabis contains over 20 known carcinogens, it also is a very powerful anti-cancer agent, and the most powerful expectorant besides Guafenesin, making it essentially "self-cleaning".

In a recent study of non-smokers, tobacco smokers, and cannabis smokers, can you guess which group had the LEAST incidence of lung cancer?

oops I didn't know it was from that long ago! My chem professor mentioned it last semester and I finally got motivated enough to google it. I thought it was really funny!

Reminded me of that whole shampoo scare where they were saying that sulfate laureth sodium was bad because they use it to clean floors and such or when people say that foods are bad if you can't pronounce the ingredients because they are made from harmful chemicals. There's a lot of "natural" stuff that has a chemical name but are referred by their common name.
