All I'm saying is that the punishment doesnt fit the crime, there is more to the story than what we are being told. My belief is that he was caught in the act of another crime, and possession of the gun (either for the crime or just in spite of it) ups the penalty.

I say it sucks to be all of us getting a peak at America's future...
More to the story? Seriously? Unless he actually shot at someone, raped someone, did a little armed robbery or something of the sort then no, there is no more to the story. This guy is going to do 7 years in prison for guns that were legally purchased and sitting in his trunk. More to the story....wtf guys?

I initially agreed with Fred. Legally purchased is all well and good. He would have had no probelms with his legally purchased guns in CO. Since he is in NJ, he needs to abide by their rules. Their rules state: NO firearm possesion in your car. He broke the rules. Play the "It's not fair, he was moving!" card all you want. He wasn't moving to his new house when the cops searched his car, he had gone out for a drive to "cool off". The dude had guns in his car in a state in which that is illegal. Don't like it: change the rules.

Believe it. We're rapidly becoming a police state. I just have to laugh when I hear or read someone talking about how unjust other countries are.
