Yup I shot that picture to send to a friend that couldn't get out of work to come to the track. I know, I'm mean.

Since being a machinist doesn't mean having an actual office, here's a couple pics of the CNC machines I work on.
Just to give a real size comparison to the lathe pictured, this is myself standing next to it on another part I made. I'm about 6' Jeff |

Not from my office... but on top of one of many of my tanks... you can see a pickup truck, car, and semi truck with trailer. I'm about 45' up. It's not one of the smaller tanks... but it will do. Holds about 65k bbls. My big boys hold 175k bbls.

I've been working from home more as well. But the office room is a bit of a disaster right now - my wife's school crap is everywhere. She's changing schools next year so she has to bring all of her stuff home for the summer.

My house is going to end up the same way - they're moving all of the teachers around to different places where my wife works as well.

Had a couple of these outside my office this morning right as I pulled into the armory. Forgive the black and white.. had a studio shoot last night and was in such a hurry to grab some shots of the birds that I forgot to switch it back to color.
