Why not? You can safely get from piont A to point B in a Toyota Corolla, why would you want a 200mph Murcialago? You pay too much to turn gasoline into noise but not speed on a Vespa, why choose a Harley? Not every acquisition has to be perfectly justifiable. Toys are fun. |

Just an asside, assault rifles are not designed to "mow down people". People trained in the use of full auto weapons know that full auto fire is designed to "suppress" the enemy and is not accurate or effective other than keeping them pinned down. And you can't buy a full auto rifle without getting the permits so 98% are probably semi-auto just like your pistols. What's the difference then? The Liberals know that the rght to bear arms is what gave us the power to defy England and win our Independance in 1776. They know the only way to maintain control of the people is to disarm them. It's not guns that kill people any more than its pencils and keyboards that misspell words. |

just a quick google of Obama Gun control
Ok for states & cities to determine local gun laws. (Apr 2008) FactCheck: Yes, Obama endorsed Illinois handgun ban. (Apr 2008) Respect 2nd Amendment, but local gun bans ok. (Feb 2008) Provide some common-sense enforcement on gun licensing. (Jan 2008) 2000: cosponsored bill to limit purchases to 1 gun per month. (Oct 2007) Concealed carry OK for retired police officers. (Aug 2007) Stop unscrupulous gun dealers dumping guns in cities. (Jul 2007) Keep guns out of inner cities--but also problem of morality. (Oct 2006) Bush erred in failing to renew assault weapons ban. (Oct 2004) Ban semi-automatics, and more possession restrictions. (Jul 1998) Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005) Joe Biden: Keep assault weapons ban; close gun show loophole. (Apr 2007) Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005) Voted NO on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence. (Mar 2004) Voted YES on background checks at gun shows. (May 1999) Voted NO on more penalties for gun & drug violations. (May 1999) Voted NO on loosening license & background checks at gun shows. (May 1999) Voted NO on maintaining current law: guns sold without trigger locks. (Jul 1998) Rated F by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun control voting record. The Second Amendment to the US Constitution: A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. Would somebody be kind enough to show me anywhere in the above that said anything about duck hunting or target shooting?
