You will get better. Just give it time.
I think my average is about 105 or so. A little higher if I'm bowling on a regular basis. Thought about joining a league, but haven't yet. |

Meh, I'm working on it. I've been going off league nights during lunch. I guess just bowling a lot will help.

I use to have an hour lunch, work was 2 blocks from the bowling alley. They sold "all you can bowl" monthly passes for $40. Went 4 days a week and rolled 4 games during lunch. My average went from 140 to 160 in 3 months. Practice makes all the difference, keep at it, your average will improve.

Wow, I havent bowled in 15 years or more... It might be ok drunk. I cant imagine playing sober. Although i'd like to see how far I can overhand one of those balls. But thats not allowed is it???

I threw a 6 pounder down the lane once just for kicks, I'm lucky no one working there saw me.. it's kind of easy to spot a ball flying over the lane.

try mini bowling! Its really easy.
I noticed if i lob the bowling ball halfway down the lane so it has less area to roll, it usually goes straight i hit way more pins. |

I used to be a 160-180 Average bowler, but now probably couldn't manage a consistent 140-160 game. Regular league game practice will make you better. Bowling on the same lane in the same house will help get you started, but eventually you'll have to know how to adapt to varying lane conditions.
"Beverage" consumption will affect bowlers differently just like throwing darts. Some folks can't hit the broad side of a barn with a dart unless they've had about 6-8 pints of Guiness or Harp, not that I'm acquainted with anyone who actually did that...
