But you got options
1. With video rolling, burn that bitch off! Post for all of us to see. 2. Replace tire 3. Plug tire (being hole is in the center) 4. With video rolling...Go behind a store with a brick wall, get off the bike, rev it to 8k, dump the clutch and watch the bike slam into the said wall and cry. We will laugh. 5. If its not a sportbike (cause I don't they make em for them) put a tube in it. Honestly, its pretty common. |

I had a rear pick up a nail about 3 miles from the dealership and bust my rear hugger all to hell when it ripped out. I was pissed and broke I put a plug in it and it held just fine. I would not plug a front tire but a rear I'm OK with for street only.

gman-they dont make a rear tube the right size-or i would. ive had a tube up to 160mph countless times, no issues.

Just plugged it ? I have a tire with less than 300 miles on it in the garage not currently on the bike that I'm going to patch and plug from the inside out and put it on the bike.
I used to be totally against plugging or patching a motorcycle tire but have never heard of one failing and causing an accident. Last edited by z06boy; 04-16-2009 at 10:50 AM.. |

I haven't seen an epic failure. I have seen (had one) patched tires start leaking again though.
Wouldn't run one on the track, but for commuting... probably, if the tire was that new yet. |
