I like the forte a little better because it's an old school A frame.
Only thing I dont like about them is the rain fly, how it comes up on the side.

those look pretty decent. looks like they pack down pretty well. 5x24 and 4x24.

i was trying to find one at one time that would pack down to X x 12 I found a couple that were close, but not sure of the names. It was quite a while ago.

Eureka makes all the military tents and this is the one I own from them, small 2person 2 pole tent that works great. You can also buy a Milspec tent directly from them as well and will last forever.

I could take a picture of the one I have in the bag, its really small completely stowed.

Well I ordered some stuff.

Tent: Eureka Scenic Pass 2 and got a floor saver and aluminum stakes for it.

Sleeping Bag: Eureka Silver City (probably not great, but it bundles small and I don't plan on camping in really cool weather)
https://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___45322

Sleeping Pad: Big Agnes Air Core on recommendation from Krabill
https://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___27342WC

Looks like I am going to be ready for some camping.

Oh well, it's not available on their site. By the time I paid tax and drove to Dicks and put up with the annoyances of where dicks is at in Knoxville, it would cancel out the savings of just having it shipped to my house.

damn should have told me you were looking at sleeping pads and bags too... had some suggestions... but what you ordered looks to be solid gear.

note... when packing your tent... DO NOT ROLL IT. tent's don't need to be rolled... it's a waste of time and it's more of a pain when setting up.

pack it in so that the first thing in is the rain fly, then the polls then the tent stakes, then the body and finally the ground cover. just stuff the tent, rain fly and ground cover... but mindfull not to tear the tent on a stake or poll (not that easy to do)

this way when you go to set up your tent... they come out in the order you'll need them.... the ground cloth, the tent, stakes, polls, then rain fly. makes life easier especially when setting up after dark.
