I tend to agree, but I don't like the mileage. And the SV is even cheaper.

At least you're in TN.. should be able to find some nice WRs or CRFs that are street legal.

It has a GSXR fork and a Penske shock........And I wouldn't doubt it's lighter than the RC.

The RC is like 10 year old tech. The only advantage it has is looks and wind protection.

I'd grab that SV if it's cheaper.......Unless you plan on doing a lot of high-speed highway of course.

It's still a SV. RC51 massively cooler on all levels.

Nah, the highway top speed shit is for the birds. Got tired of that at about 19. The RC will make about 10hp more, according to sportrider.com. Looks like the RC weighs about 4lbs more and makes 12 more hp stock actually. Both have aftermarket stuff to bring up HP and reduce weight, so I'm guessing they're pretty close. The SV has had 1 race season and supposedly has under 10k miles, but lost it's odo when the front end swap happened. I'm leaning towards the RC for cool factor right now.

Maybe.......but I'd only buy an RC if it was black (05/06)........I just can't get into silver & red.

Yeah, not crazy on the paint scheme. A paint job isn't much though. Triple - the local SV is 2800.

I just meant long trips. Anything over 20-30 minutes and a naked gets really tiring to me. Unless the flyscreen works really well.
