South Park is probably the most truthful / accurate show on TV.

If they can drive to a friends house to watch south park, then they are allowed to watch it.
If they are not old enough to get in a getaway car and drive away..then

I don't know.
We're "those" parents.
We don't even let them watch spongebob or any of that crap.

Do your kids watch any TV?

If so, what?

Seems parents protect their kids from nudity/sex, but turn a blind eye to South Park......and I don't get it. In one episode of South Park, a kid could hear 50 different "controversial" things, but a boob is just a boob. If your goal as a parent is to avoid getting pestered with questions, I'll take the boob --- it's only going to generate 1 or 2 questions, not 50.

Have a 6 and a 3.5 year old.

My wife will let them watch phineas and ferb and in the past its been things like wonder pets, dora...a few select shows on Nick jr. At most an hour at a shot (also known as "mommy's breaking point has been reached and she needs an hour").

Other than that its a Pixar movie every once and awhile.

The 6 year old is just as happy sitting down with his books (He has a Nook and shelves filled with Geronimo Stilton, the Magic Treehouse and the Captain Underpants series.) The 3 year is all about playing with toys and starting sword fights with his older brother.
TV isn't a big part of their lives overall. We're not militant about it.
There have been occasions where the 6 year old will come across things in print that are "above his pay grade" but thats no big deal. I was checking out his nook the other day and he created a whole bookshelf dedicated to "Books to read when I get older" (his words...his actions. We had nothing to do with it)

Nudity is not an issue at all. We just make sure that the correct terminology is used to identify everything.

Sex as presented on "entertainment" TV\Media is not appropriate for my kids at their current age.

Sex as presented on documentaries\research\learning while still not appropriate for their age would turn into a learning opportunity on human anatomy and how things work. Not really a big deal in my book, but I would much rather wait awhile longer for that discussion.

No question is unwelcome in our house (though there are some my wife prefers I answer)

Questions like, "why is mommy PMS'ing?" and "has mommy been gaining weight?" Pretty sure those are unwelcome....
