In this economy Companies have the hiring edge when it comes to bringing someone new on to work for them. I interview people weekly and I am a GM for a Retail/Fuel Chain in the northeast and the range of applicants ranges from first time kids looking for jobs to people with degrees who are way over qualified for an entry level position but they can't find anything so they are doing whatever it takes.

I certainly am picky even when it comes to my part time associates. I dont want some asshat who has a shitty attitude and sucks at his/her job when there is someone else out there who actually works and takes care of your customers.

Prolly just hires you because he knows you have status. kekeke

If that fails, you could just threaten to have your pet eagle fly away with all his kids and pets.

So, the "come back in" date was last Friday, an offer letter was presented at the meeting.

Way to keep us in suspense. Did you accept the offer?

Nope.

Then again, no offer was made (to me). My brother is the candidate and negotiations are on-going.

He's asked for my input as the process has gone on and I had to find out what others have experienced in regards to "coming back in" before an offer is made.

Like you, I hadn't seen it handled that way and was instantly a little leery.
