Many years ago I did some small time logging and a chain saw is a most unforgiving tool (Much like a bike). Fun, but serious fun. I did the bucking and length cuts with the little saw, 90cc w/36" bar. It was all my little ass wanted to deal with. I used the larger saws (125cc w/42"bar) a few times but it was more than I wanted to handle. I weighed in at about 150 at the time and when it hooked in to cut it would lift me off the ground. Actually the trees were more dangerous than the saws. They get really pissed when you cut them down and they actively try to kill you in some very creative ways. You can always tell when a logger has been doing it for a while. They are missing parts of their bodies...
I feel really sorry for that guy. He may never be able to close his eyes without seeing that. |
