What's yuppie about it? It tastes better than bud, miller, coors and all other high volume piss beers. Are you going to tell me a steak is yuppie? I bet your dad drank piss beer and that's what you've become accustom to.

At least you didn't argue the "silly" part

I think the same marketing people that are responsible for there being seventy thousand different wines on the market suckered y'all, creating an elitist subculture wherein anything that is popular and inexpensive MUST suck (I mean, nobody sells a hundred million units a year of anything that's any good)...

And so you pay more for a "premium" product with a long name and limited distribution, and wax rapturous with other sophisticated palettes about all the subtle ways in which it doesn't taste exactly like the million other drinks made with the same ingredients.

Tho at least beer drinkers are a little more with it than coffee drinkers, since you don't fall for all that hippy "free-trade" shit

It was all fun and games until they started trying to pull that shit with my vodka... now it's time to raise awareness and fight back!

he is dead on, the micro brew culture has really taken on the ghey side of coffee/wine drinkers. It's beer.

I enjoy a good micro brew as much as anyone, but this elitism crap is retarded.

First off beer is an acquired taste. When you were 5 years old and you sipped on your dads beer I'm sure you didn't like it. So you'd drink a little more and several years all the sudden you think it's good. I was the same way until I got a taste for real beer when I moved to Seattle.

Redhook for example is a brand that is gaining huge amounts of popularity and their beer is good. It's fairly inexpensive too as is Sam Adams. There is no elitist attitude about it. We just like better beer. Were not better people than you because we drink a better beer, we just enjoy the finer things in life. If a friend offers me a free beer, I'll drink it and won't complain but if I'm paying, you bet your ass I'm buying something good.
