I learned today that our company is offering voluntary job eliminations. A sign of thing to come? Maybe.

Back in the early '90s, during the last bad recession and before I got here, my employer offered packages for people who wanted to voluntarily leave. I've heard that they were offering up to 2 years worth of salary. The good people who could get jobs elsewhere left. The crap stayed. Some of the good ones eventually came back, after the term in the contract expired.

Not yet anyway. I think they are trying to avoid that with the VJE's.

I learned you should not rent "Last House on the Left - Un-cut version" unless you like to see what the torture, graphic rape and murder of teenage girls looks like. There was no plot and I had to turn if off midway through feeling like I was going to vomit.

I learned while in Mexico on vacay that... if you drink all day and over 20 drinks a day, while eating tons of food and staying in the pool all day... you will retain water and get kankles! YUK! Thank god they are almost gone already!!

Including the inability to do some basic googling to see whether or not that company has a good reputation (hint - they don't)
