Not really what I was asking. My question is more related to your assertion that this or that isn't a big deal. Are there any big deals in the world?

There are a lot of big deals in my world, but they wouldn't make very much sense in your world as we don't live in the same region or know the same people IRL.

Agreed, and kinda my point - though I do disagree with inflicting needless malicious suffering on any creatures, often Ma Nature dishes out far worse just in the course of cycle-of-life shit. Hell, just watch a NatGeo flick of lions chasing down a baby wildebeast & eating it guts-first! I think people sometimes get carried away with labeling some acts as 'cruel and inhuman' without stopping for a moment to consider the reality of what goes on in order to keep all us non-vegans fed.

Are you really that shocked by it? Seriously? That girl microwaving the cat was different. This is tame to that shit. That dude who cut off that guys head on the bus, now that was pretty fucked up. Anyone who is shocked by this story has to be sheltered from regular news.

I think it's sad that we're not more shocked by this stuff. I think it's pathetic that as a society violence and sociopathy (because that's what this is) has become so commonplace that anyone who is shocked by it is considered to be "sheltered". |
