I agree, but we are talking about death here.

We are talking about whether someone SHOULD die if they steal a bike and run...not that he ran and killed himself.

Yes, he deserved to die, not because he is a thief, but because he put himself in a situation where death is a very real possibility.

I'm talking about not feeling sorry for a scumbag bike thief getting bit on the ass by karma. You turned it into a big moral debate.

We all put ourselves in situations where death is a "very real possiblity" i.e. riding in A group on the track, canyon carving, sky diving, bungee jumping etc. etc. etc. I guess we deserve to die too.

A group is fine, riding in intermediate group is a serious risk of death

It sounds sure as hell that thieves deserve to die, doesn't it? If you wish to backpeddle and admit you didn't mean this, then I'll quit.

He put himself at the mercy of natural selection. He wasnt a naturally good enough rider to run from the cops and offed himself in the attempt.
I don't think you (not you personally, just in general) can really ask whether he deserved to die or not, no one killed him but himself, therefore, it would be more a question of why did he choose to commit suicide? |

You asked so I answered. No back peddaling needed here.

What DID he deserve?
Honestly....what did he deserve under the laws the civilized portion of society choose to live by? His day in court, right? He CHOSE to forgo that right...and risk his life by committing another crime. He lost that risk. Why are still talking about this again? He rolled the dice....and lost big. The REAL people to feel bad for are whatever "friends" or family a thief has.....knowing he died not only a thief...but also a dumbass. |
