You're still at the mall dude. If the store is located at or on the mall premises, guess what? You're still at the mall. You dont have to walk inside to see the folks we're talking about... |

I haven't been in a standard mall in awhile either. Of course they are doing away with standard indoor malls here. All the stores that use to be in malls have strip mall versions now. So you don't get the useless emo's hanging out in the food court, because that doesn't exist. Nowhere for them to hang out except parking lots and the cops run them off of those if they try it.

But there's a big difference between going to a Macy's on one corner of the mall, and spending the whole day strutting through the mall like all the 2.5 GPA kids do. He doesn't go to Macy's because it's in a mall, he goes to Macy's because he wants to go to Macy's. If it was all by itself, he'd still go there.

Not to mention shit's poorly organized. They'll have a bin of DVD's sitting randomly in like 5 different parts of the store. And a stack of cheap-shit $40 Lexmark (junk) printers in the middle of the aisle where you're trying to walk. |

We don't have end stores. There is no indoor hallways or foodcourts. Pretty much everything is standalone or in a strip with only outdoor entraces.

I almost said that in my post.
They havent upgraded to the nicer strip type malls here. We have the standard crappy mall, smaller than most, with a little outdoor area all around the outside with the stores I go to...and they are overrun with the emos, the skaters, and all the scary people that definitely shouldnt have walked outta the house wearing what they have on. It's like walking a gauntlet. Add in the college town aspect, and the huge ghetto population and you have a recipe for people watching. By my parents house they've got the fancy outdoor mall, and where I lived in Florida they did as well. They arent any better than regular malls, just the same actually, with a different layout. I dislike them equally. |

I don't go to Walmart often but I do shop there from time to time and don't have a problem with them.
I guess the ones here aren't as bad as some of the ones that a few of you describe. I usually enter/exit and pay through either the garden section or the auto section...no long lines. |
