sten gun?
i had a sterling mk4 when i was in iraq the first time. thing was fun as hell to shoot. only big problem with it was it was an open bolt action so when i eventually had to use it my target managed to evade in the short time it took for the bolt to ride into battery

most of the early SMGs were stamped steel wonders you could throw together for around $20. very useful when you need to arm a lot of people quickly

I don't know about all the gun business...
But damn. That movie is definitely awesome. It seriously makes me reflect and think about we, as humans, treat others. I'm just surprised the reality wasn't "aliens landed, we blow them up". Shit I figured the first human dead would = all out war. And seeing a solider or alien just get blown up isn't as gory to me, as seeing that dude get sent to a creepy ass medical lab for experiments while suits stand around making the executive decision. That was the worst thing for me to watch. It's just the absolute grossest side to human nature I think is possible. |

This is one of the things I thought of too, while watching this movie.

Just got back from seeing it. GREAT flick. I really like the documentary style of filming. I also was amazed how "real" the aliens looked. Computer animation has certainly improved over the last few years.
