You'll "tear up" 30minutes before the end of the movie. And it only gets worse in those 30minutes.

Watched marley and me last night, it was a decent movie. Dog would of been gone quickly in my house. Didn't make me tear up at all. The kids letters were lame and I just wanted to punt the oldest kid for his little saying. Old Yeller was worse by a mile.

I saw this movie in the theaters with my daughter. The place was packed and EVERYONE was crying especially during the letters. The woman next to me was sobbing. Maybe I'm heartless because I didn't even tear up, but when my dog passed away February before last, I was inconsolable and cried for hours. I haven't been able to even think of getting another dog. RIP Baron.

I just didn't have a particular attachment to the dog in this movie, so I wasn't moved by the movie. You had more of an attachment since you have labs that look similar. I had more of an attachment to the dog in the shitty Tom Hanks movie about the dog who's owner is killed and it helps the local cop (tom hanks) find and take down the drug ring and then gets shot and dies, but has puppies.
