I too would like to think I'd turn it in for the right reasons, but in the end it would be my fear of consequences that would get to me.

I would turn it in before someone came looking for it. People who leave 120 grand laying around are stupid, but so are violent bastards who would come after 120 grand. I don't actually have a conscience, but I do have a finely developed sense of self-preservation.

If your in a mental position that would allow you to leave 120k around and forget it u didnt deserve it. If it was me I would have kept it in my gunsafe and slept infront of it until i spent it all. If your in dire finacial straits how could you just brain fart the knowledge of the money.

but corporate CEO or drug dealer's money, well they're both criminals to me anyhow, so fuck em.

then again, if I kept it, I dont know exactly what I"d do with it, other than a high interest account in the caymans and call it my "retirement fund" or buy myself a house in cash and tell the world to fuck off.
I'll bet my life some "poor" family isn't sittin on 120k in cash.

I'd give the 80K back....hey no taxation without representation!

I'd keep it and report a similar amount as gambling winnings in atlantic city, maybe 95k, That way I can put it in a bank and use it rather than hide it. I'm confident my consience can take the hit without bothering me too much, and if it does, I'm sure the money used at the strip joint will make me feel better.

If it's from some overpaid jackass or a drug pusher I'd probably keep it. If it's from some average joe that was just being smart in saving (but dumb in leaving it lying around) I'd return it and hope for a reward.

What is your definition of an overpaid jackass? There are plenty of jackasses making $10/hour that are way overpaid. I don't think how much money a person earns has anything to do with what is right.

What's up with all the conscience up in here? I'd have a 100,000 dollar crack party.
