I guess the hard part I'm having with the whole thing is your exes panties and shit are still in the house and your already moaning about the prospect of the next ride wearing the gear you bought

Either
a) you should have boxed all her shit up a long time ago including the helmet and told her to come get or it was going to the donation bin

b) you move way to fast and you should slow it down to check your head; if you didnt give a shit about the ex you wouldn't have even brought the shit up

I'm not saying you should be celebate or not have relations with women but to me speckin out motorcycle gear for each other is a bit intimate

not being bitchy with you or holier than thou just an observation. I've been there trust me and if you didn't care about her it wouldn't have even rated a comment. There is still a raw nerve, while others may be ok with sharing gear or re-using it I wouldn't be. I still subscribe to the school of "my helmet is my extra head" I wouldn't want to share my head with anyone

I have never just casually hopped on the back of someone's bike and I can tell you I've only ridden bitch with 4 people. One was my father it's a really serious step for people that take the responsibility seriously

agreed with the trust issue, but if it was a helmet only worn once and it fit whats the issue?

again, honest question

Well several factors
how long has that thing been sitting in the garage; what temp etc? If it still falls within the safe shelf life of a helmet then it's cool for an interim solution. It's been mentioned its irrational and thatI'm applying emotions to an item. I am. I am passionate about my hobby which makes me a bit quirky. We all are.

I have a north face coat that I adore. It was Steve's father's coat it makes me feel good to wear it and know that he would be happy that his coat is keeping me warm. Do you think she will ever put that helmet on and not think about who you bought it for?

If I were the new girl I'd be evaluating is it the right one for me? If she's really interested in riding even just as a passenger you need to learn your own safety equip and research being a good passenger.

Like buying boots and gloves...keeping your feet off the pipe..your rings off the tank..supporting your weight when stopping not cracking the back of your mans helmet..etc
