so why advertise, i mean most car/home lockouts aren't emergancy's?

could it be that it's a public service?

i would bet 90+% of the population would do the same as i did. call the "free" FD vs paying a locksmith. maybe the FD should say, it'll cost you X $ then people would react diff.

well tommy can work on bikes, maybe when he has some downtime at the ER he can do an oil change for you, and when rogue isn;t dispatching she could do some cold calls from your work for you. and in most states it's illegal to advertise prices for services done by public servants because it could deter people from calling during an actual emergency

isn't tommy always starting bored at work threads?

sorry man, but i fail to believe you run 25hrs in a 24hr shift every time you work

i'm sure there are days you run yourself ragged then there are days you don't.

they didn't stop at my house on the way to a fire, i didn't expect them to stop eating dinner to come, they came at their leisure on a slow sunday evening.

thanks for doing what you do, cuz i sure as hell wouldn't do it for the $ you guy's make, maybe tommy's $.

but in the end, your job is a public service job. for better or for worse. and if you're that cynical about the people you help, maybe you need a break or a new career. cuz for the most part you deal w/ dumbasses like me all day long and worse.

Put up a poll.

Personally, I'd never have considered calling the FD.

i would suppose if the FD didn't want to or have the time to do it, they would have told Ed to call the locksmith

they arent allowed to refuse a call, no matter how bullshit it may be, on the off chance that someone may be downplaying an actual emergency

They also can't pull off of a non emergency call until it's complete even for a true emergency call, IIRC. Of course, it may vary by state. I'm just going off of what I read from other first responders...FD, EMS, etc....

I've heard EMS bitch repeatedly about having to finish dealing with a bullshit call before they could respond to a real one...
