Default A Year in Movies - my project for 2010

I'm somewhat of an anomaly when it comes to pop culture and movie watching.

I hardly watch movies and it usually blows people's minds to hear that I haven"t seen this or that.

So for 2010 I'm starting a project to get myself caught up on all of these crazy movies. The project also involves fitness since I bought a spin bike and plan on watching these movies while on the bike. At least I'll get in shape while devoting this much time to something.

I think I'm going to start a blog about it too.

Is The Saint the Roger Moore version, or the Val Kilmer version?

1. Terminator 2, 3 and Salvation (watch all 4 in 1 day)
2. Star wars I, II, and III, then watch IV V and VI all in the same day
3. Hard Candy
4. 2001 a space odyssy (watch while high, it will make sense)
5. Serenity, and as an added bonus you can watch all the episodes of Firefly on Hulu first
6. Red Dawn
7. Back to the Future I, II, and III. Watch I then get high, watch II, it will make sense, then let youself come down to watch III.
8. Half Baked watch it twice, first sober then high. It really will make sense
9. The day the earth stood still, the original and the new Keanu Reeves version
10. (500) days of summer
11-16. the kevin Smith Collection, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Clerks 2.

Also which planet of the Apes? The original (awesome) or the new Marky Mark version (less awesome)

Roger Moore version, IMO. Also agree with Derf about the original Apes flick.

Original Apes.
Serenity was based off of an early 2000's Tv show called firefly which lasted for 11 episodes and was cancelled. The show, while completely awesome if viewed in their chronological order (not by their air dates) was a complete flop for Fox, the show was aired against several other very popular shows and was often not shown because it was replaced by various sports. When the show was released on DVD it was an instant hit, staying in Amazons top 10 dvd's for almost a year, in syndication on the scifi network it regularly doubles its original ratings. So then it was made into a movie which managed to tie up all the loose ends left by its early cancellation.

Did you create that list? You seriously haven't seen any of those?

I would add:
Falling Down
Dune
Wall Street
Menace 2 Society
Donnie Darko
Dark City
The Right Stuff
Top Gun
Out of Sight
Caddyshack
The Firm
Office Space
Risky Business
The Mist
Superman (the original from around 1980)
The Ring I & II

However, I would drop the Back to the Futures, the Robocops, the Lethal Weapons, the Die Hards, Gladiator, and Planet of the Apes........they're pretty much a waste of time IMO
