Disrespectful A-HOLES: a rant
Ok, so as some of you know, Neon's gramma passed away on Monday. Today was her funeral.
We leave the service, and the procession winds for many miles through this very beautiful area running parallel to the river... tree canopy of old oaks with spanish moss, dappled sunlight, the azaleas are all in bloom - overall, a very fitting day for her (as she was a great lover of the outdoors). It was a very tranquil day. HOWEVER....... As the procession wound down this one narrow road, and traffic in the opposite lane halts, there's these two young guys in an older Lincoln Town Car. They're about 18, thinkin they're ballahs, and the driver STICKS HIS ARM OUT THE WINDOW AND WAVES at the procession, as if it's a parade. He's got this huge grin on his face the whole time, too, lookin at his buddy like he's cool or something. WHAT THE FUCK? So then the procession gets out onto a main road -- we've got motorcycle police escorts, and we're doing about 35 mph in the right lane, when some fucktard in his worktruck CUTS OFF the car in front of me, in order to make a right at the next intersection... WHO DOES THAT?????? Show some respect you asshole!!!!!!!!!! /end rant |

Its bad enough when people are disrespectful on a regular day. Disrespecting a funeral is pathetic.

There was a procession we rode with the Patriot Guard Riders on --- HUUUUUGE long procession (on bikes, obviously) where EVERYONE stood on street corners, sat on the hoods of their cars with their flags waving, and they waved, cheered and saluted as if it were a parade, but that was different -- that was people showing respect for the fallen soldier and patriotism, and in a completely different way than this little asshole today was doing. (and for the record, I'm all for cremation myself... once I'm done with this body, there's no need for it to take up space on earth, IMO) |

that shit IS stupid. people are in such a fuckin hurry now a days.
Like they're all practicing for the daytona 500, they have to leave at the VERY last second to get to where their going, and any slight impediment to that trip is a waste of THEIR time... |

The first guy is just a douchebag, probably will be his whole life. The second guy, the problem here is that people are so fucking stupid these days that they probably honestly don't even know you aren't supposed to interfere with a funeral procession... just like the cocks that don't even know the left lane is for going fast, or the dicks that don't understand how 4 way stop signs work, or how traffic flows in general.

I accidentally became part of a funeral procession one time on my way to work.. I was driving down the street approaching a red light and saw the cars going through the intersection... as I approached the light changed green and I entered the intersection making my right turn... little did I realize until it was too late that there were cars still coming! I was like
They were going my way at the next turn onto a four lane road, so I passed them... about a mile up I end up seeing the hearse and the cops... The funeral procession was so long I had no way of knowing what was happening... I think they should do window flags or something to avoid that... |

I'm gonna put it in my fucking will... if you don't ride to my funeral... you can't come...
course no one is probably gonna show up anyhow... and that's about all that'll be in my will... but I'm gonna do it anyhow. |
