Thumbs up MotoGP round 3 Estoril 05/01/11 *SPOILERS*

This is supposed to be round 4, but the Tsunami in Japan altered the schedule a little...So...................

--Lorenzo got his first win last race thanks to everyone else crashing out
--Stoner is still the man to beat
--Pedrosa has had time for his shoulder to feel better, mayble he'll score a "W"
--Rossi knows he screwed up last race..That usually motivates him to whoop ass
--Hayden got himself a podium!! (with a 10th place performance)
--Spies is still on the outside looking in of a podium
--Simoncelli and Dovi are looking good, but not a whole race good

Your thoughts?

Lorenzo is so on his game it will be hard to knock him off. Stoner should bounce back well after getting dumped in the rain. And I think this could be Simoncelli's big chance. Spies has not been around this track in the dry or even completed a race there, Pedro is still undecided on racing and will be confidence low and distracted. Dovi hasnt gotten much attention but he has the stuff to show up this weekend. Rossi and Hayden are still handicapped by the Duc Monster...

I'll pull a prediction out of my ass:
1. Lorenzo
2. Dovi
3. Rossi

The bigger story in my mind is will Rossi attempt to put the Gibernau curse on Casey Moaner after his "your ambition outweighed your talent" remark in front of the cameras at Jerez....I can't imagine that a 9 time world champion is going to take kindly to that coming from someone who has only one 1 title.

Apparently that's a pretty common Aussie racing quip, though those Italians can be a bit feisty. At least he didn't girly-slap him.

It's supposed to rain this weekend, so I wonder if we'll have a repeat crashfest. Personally, I hope not. As interesting as it made the outcome, I'd much rather see places decided with passes instead of crashes.

And come on now... Hayden got a podium with a 10th place performance in Jerez? Seems like just keeping the bike upright during the last race was a worthwhile achievement on its own, and he deserved that podium. Did you see those tires after the race?

I think that Lorenzo will take the checkered flag. Pedrosa/Stoner fight for second with Rossi in third and possibly second if those other two fucking up.

The forecast is for a wet race, but FP1 appears to have been dry...

Marco has blood in his eye!! The HRC boys are always quick to show their habd and Lorenzo and Spies are probably biding their time.

Can Pedro go race distance? Will Dovi manage a huge suprise? I still think the track is a little too much stop and go for Rossi to man handle the Duc for the distance...
