Boeing 747-8F Performs Ultimate Rejected Take-off
Amazing being able to stop a plane at speed. Look how red the rotors get.

I'd love to be a passenger for that ride. The ability to release pressure in the tires seems like a pretty smart idea, and one I hadn't seen before.

Damn good stuff there, I liked how they tried to make it real world as possible with having the FD wait 5 minutes to simulate a response time.

It will if you just ride the brakes rather than just slamming on the fuckers with authority. Brake fade and pad wear sucks.

I know 2 people at boeing. They have great people there. They make some amazing equipment.
Always remember every time you use your brakes... the work they are doing. You have all that massively huge motor to get the car/bike/plane going... then these little metal pads stopping it. It's more amazing then you give credit. |
