He should be a lawyer, what with his knack for sniffing out the loopholes.

Adverse possession is a bullshit law. It might have made sense for the Cartrights and their neighbors around the Ponderosa, but in modern times, and especially inside city limits, that property belongs to someone. That someone is not Kenneth Robinson.
My ex-girlfriend's parents were trying to claim adverse possession on a twenty-foot-wide strip of land next to their driveway. They planted three or four trees and were hoping the land owners didn't notice for a few years. It's crap; if the land is that important to you, buy the damn land. If it's not for sale, suck it up and drive on. In an article from one of the Dallas-Fort Worth stations, Robinson talks about starting seminars on how to steal property through adverse possession. I can easily see this becoming a trend these days. People use a bad economy to justify all kinds of shit, like drive-offs at the pump. Better put a fence around your yard now, before a Robinson-seminar attendee claims your back patio.

I'll be surprised if he ends up with the house. He has to stay there for 3 years without being evicted by someone. I doubt that will happen, especially now that he's bragged about it to everyone. If he'd kept his mouth shut, it might have been possible, but someone will find a way to get him out of the house, be it the owner, the bank, the city or the HOA.

Not sure about that area, but in NY he'd be stuck with the property taxes, both current and past-due plus interest (like 24% or something stupid like that) which could easily be more than the price of the house. I'd laugh if that were the case there.
