Default Lost a fellow rider yesterday...

...but not to a motorcycle accident. Yesterday we got word at my unit that one of ours was KIA in a VBIED attack in Afghanistan.

SSG Nelson Trent was a close friend of mine, who above all else in this mortal world adored his wife and two young children. He was one of the best NCOs I have ever had the honor to serve with. I miss the goofy motherfucker.. the man was, even in the worst of times, always positive. He always knew how to put a smile on everyone's faces around him, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

I know I don't post up here much... work and school keep me pretty busy these days. But I felt the need to share this.. because he was a rider.. but above all, he was a Soldier, a father, a husband, a brother, a son, and a damn good friend of mine.

Miss you, battle buddy. See you on the other side.

RIP.
It's getting crazy over there, we just had two of our own KIA and one WIA from a IED.
It doesn't get any easier...
