Girlfriends in yo sale pics. Why?

Why do dudes put their girlfriends on their bike and take a pic to use for their sale? I find it to be stupid. Especially if they're ugly or look like they need to be in a field.

Using an ugly chick is dumb. But a few years ago I remember seeing a pair of racing gloves for sale on eBay where the sellers main photo was of his GF holding her boobs with the gloves on. I dont know if he made any more money because of it but it definitely got a lot of people to look at his item and it seemed like a smart move.
