My resistance welder should arrive tomorrow. Let the experimentation begin!

So it takes somewhere between two and three times as long to make welded mail, but it's a hell of a lot stronger than butted rings. This is 5/16", 16 gauge stainless steel.

The pattern is European 4-in-1; the most common pattern for medieval European armour. Each ring links to 4 others. Every now and then I do screw up and have to cut a ring out, then secure a new one in place.

hoping to see Jen CosPlay with this piece, sometime soon. She wanted to try and make the chainmail minidress work for it but I knew that it wouldn't, and so made her the new piece instead.
Also, now that my skills have improved, I'm remaking Sarah's piece for a better fit. Off with the sleeves, better contouring, a scale pauldron for the right arm, and maybe more that we haven't discussed yet.

I thought so but wasn't entirely sure. the accents do add a lot to it.

The first one is made as a base layer for a CosPlay, which is going to have a lot more armour to it. I needed for it to hit the right sexy buttons, without taking away from the rest of the costume
