I have a Yamaha twin engine jet wakeboard boat. LOVE it. And, we've tried to kill it a few times

It's a big bonus right now with the lake being low... no props = can maneuver in shallow water.

Jet boat would be my first choice if I were to buy a boat...

The newer ones may look better than their older brethren, but they are still built to a price point, not designed for strength and longevity.

It's pretty hard to shake a bad rep; even if the quality has gone up. Looking at the boats in this price point they are all pretty much the same - same engine, same hull manufacturing method (sprayed fiberglass), fiberglass deck inside, same components and features. It's a lake boat that will get used on weekends 1/2 - 2/3 of the year.

Looked at the Yamahas and Sea Doos but both are much more money than we're looking to spend. Going to pay cash.

No boat is worth the money, just sayin'

You are better off digging a hole and throwing the money in that and walking away. Boats are the definition of disposable income.

Lee has the right idea to get something he doesn't mind spending cash on instead of wasting credit/interest payments on a pit of money.

Hey man, I don't ever endorse making payments on anything... not a boat, not a motorcycle, hell - not anything unless it can give a return on investment. He IS right to pay cash.

I know they use to make an 18'. I guess they stopped. We had a 20'. It was nice.
