Even though I couldn't ride because it was still too cold, I took the cover off the bike, put the battery back in, uncovered the exhaust can, wiped her down and started her up.. Let in run for about 10 minutes. She is now all already to go.

I've been out zero times in 2008. I don't get out till its warm enough to consistently ride. No reason to run it then let it sit for weeks again. That causes more problems than it's worth.

Why? You're saying if I warm it up for 20 minutes, ride it for several hours, and then let it sit for a couple weeks, that's a problem?

Don't forget. His bike is 87 years old.

Exactly. Might not cause problems for your shiny fuel injected bikes. But old pinky gets pesky under the aforementioned conditions. Before you know it the tank is off...I'm pulling plugs. Fuck that.

i would if i wasn't so busy riding your mom.. oh no he didint..

yeah the first year i piled miles on it riding it probably 10 out of 12 months.. then the years after i just didn't ride as much.. worked in the ghetto and didn't really feel like ghetto dogging every day in the summer.. there was way too much traffic and shitty drivers for my tastes.. also there is a difference between going out for a weekend ride and getting rained on and driving 35 miles to work and getting rained on.. so my riding cut back.. regardless i would like to put more miles on and this year i am going to every chance i get..
