Well, I guess I need to change the body, replace the tail lights, replace the engine, buy some white Oakleys, etc...

Seriously, I'm going to put a hitch on it, buy a small trailer and use it to haul our bikes to the rally.

Agreed. I wouldn't even buy a car where the previous owner(s) put altezza lights on it - God knows what else they fucked with on it.

Have fun with it, Tigger. Nice toy.

I had a 99 (first year of that model); at about 8,000 miles, the transmission ate itself. Replaced under warranty, but still a pain in the ass.

nice car. I actually like that body style myself. I've had a couple friends that had that style with very few problems.

her uncle and my brother in law are both professional mechanics, it wasn't from a lack of maintenance. The car was a piece of shit. It developed this weirdvibration issue about 10000 miles into her ownership and we took it to Ford and they pretty much told us it's just something you have to live with and a common issue.

Oh I wasn't implying that it was your fault... I'm saying that I can fix pretty much any problem the car will have... Out of curiosity, did you take it to more than one dealer? Not all mechanics are made equal you know... The car has 80,000 miles on it so I'm well beyond the teething issues you guys are talking about.

My gf has a 99 yellow drop top with 220,000...zero problems. Ah you roll the dice and you take your chances...at least this lot gives you a 90 day 3,000 mile warranty. Better than nothing.
