And to make matters worse, my battery is dead. i forgot to shut the key off last time I rode it, and didnt quite hook up the trickle charger until a week later. Rode saturday and the bike went fine, but needed a jump start first thing in the morning and at the gas stop. The battery showed 2.5 v before the ride, and 2.7 after

Glad you're OK. Such is the risk of being a test pilot for "vintage" rides.

*note to self*

Do not ride a $100 bike that's bigger than 50cc's.

Meh, small bikes can bite ya real fast, and real hard too. I used to race euro pocketbikes. My experience is that smaller bikes can actually dole out a positively cruel amount of road rash, and with even greater immediacy.

Remember, you can balance a broom on your hand, but not a pencil. The longer lever "telegraphs" its motion more slowly, leaving time to react and counterblance. Small lever flops over so fast, you just eat it.

Yup can't bend down or twist my upper body. Anything faster than a slow deliberat move hurts my right side. Wrist is fine now. Its not broken or cracked, that hurts way worse, just painful.

I have until Saturday to feel good, got a big party to go to.

Havnt told the wifey why I hurt, she dont know about my lil mishap, I dont want to scare her away from the bike like I did a few years ago.
