He apparently felt he was coming in too hot and nailed the brakes after entering the turn, thus upsetting the suspension. Then, on exit, he stomped the gas, thus sliding around since his rear end was already lightened by the previous stomping of the brakes.

Pretty much the same make and model car pulled a similar move a couple of weeks ago here. Except it was people on a side walk instead of Bikes.

I was watching it on a tiny iPhone screen - re-ran it today on my equally tiny laptop screen (damn travel laptops ) and it still looked like he hit the brakes.
