The only one that applies to me is the toll-pass.

I don't see that as an intrusion though.

Unless you are avoid toll roads altogether, you are being tracked. If not via your Sunpass, EZ-Pass, etc, then by a picture taken of your tag.

I think the kids growing up today are products of the environment they were born into, and some of the "poor behavior" reflected on them is little more than self-fulfilling prophecies.
That's the thing, as a whole, I believe the generations have been getting worse. My generation has MUCH more fuck ups than my parents, and the newest set of kids is WAY WAY worse. I can't believe how many of the teenagers don't have jobs, and don't care to have jobs. It's insane.

My parents gen - 75% went out and got jobs and worked
my gen - seems to be 50/50 on work ethics.
the now teenagers - seems to be 75/25. 25% of them want to work.

Honestly, it's insane. I know, I have a 16yr old brother in law that has never had a job, and has a work ethic for shit and is useless as shit when you want his help working on something. But he can tell you he has 480 (or some stupid #) of friends on facebook, that he posts and tracks on his droid or blackberry or whatever he has.

I steer clear of all. Even my cell phone of late has the battery out most of the time, unless I need to use it (mostly because the battery is so old, it only is good for fucking 5 minutes anymore). I still have my C4, but I'm going to sell it. That thing has more computers than forward speeds. No likee.

I think that just as a matter of personal policy, I don't want cars with computers in them in my life anymore. I want shit that I can fix with a wrench.

Also, since personal freedoms are vanishing, I really don't want the "gift" of a personal tracking device; if that's the price of modern convenience, I'll do without....just on principle.

Here in the Bay Area, if you commute to the city every day, you are going to get a bridge pass............. otherwise you are sitting in the cash-only lane while all the passholders zoom by you.
