Verizon and US Cellular use the same network here. As for the phones, if they don't have the full Verizon lineup it's probably a retailer instead of a corp. store. If it's on verizonwireless.com then you should be able to get it.

The Droid 2 "Global" sounds neat. It's like an unlocked phone you can use all over the world and its at 1.2 Ghz.

I hope verizon doesnt get the iphone. The system isnt that fast here. It's gonna suck to have a shit load of those running off the data system. Escpecially when fuck tards use their phones as a modem.

People are doing that with android phone, but I doubt you'd notice anything if the iphone did come through.

dew912's smoked glass v10, ive been using his stuff for a while. very stable and some real cool options.
http://androidforums.com/droid-roms/...tery-life.html UPDATE.ZIP File. See instructions below. v10 - Changelog from 9.x Improved performance and battery life (LV Kernel) Option in Browser settings for Full Screen Long press on Volume keys to change tracks when screen is off New version of Elliot Stocker Music App New version of Cyan's MMS app New version of Google Maps New version of YouTube New icon for Google Talk notification New Battery icon in status bar Removed Google Voice (Download from market) Installation file is in update.zip format; compatible with both SPRecovery & Clockworkmod. I've pretty much ported the smoked glass theme we all have come to know and love and packaged it into a pretty awesome Froyo 2.2.1 Based ROM. This is an update to my original posting found here: [ROM]--CHARITY--Smoked Glass Themed v9.0 Froyo 2.2.1 Built From Source! BRAND SPANKIN' NEW I don't think asking for personal donations is in line with the ideas behind open source software. Thus, I have decided to collect donation money for charity. Please Donate, read below... ALL (100%) of the money will go to NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION: Oil Disaster Recovery. I will be fully transparent in this process and will show any donors proof of the organization's receipt. I know this is a new idea, I hope it catches on. Please check out the organization at: Help Our Gulf Parks Send donations directly by clicking the link above, or PM me for my PayPal address. So far I have gotten excellent feedback on the ROM. Here's some info on it: ChevyNo1's 1100Mhz Ultra Low Voltage Kernel (Fast boot time, Improved Battery life, Great performance) Built from AOSP source, Based on Froyo 2.2.1, newest available release FRG22D Motorola Droid Propieratary Files Deodex'd, Zipaligned, & Fully Optimized! Custom Lockscreen with Rotary unlock Music Controls on Lock Screen (Matching buttons to jog dial) Long press on volume rocker for prev/next track Added Silent option to the volume rocker Added Reboot option to the power menu FLAC support system-wide. Works in Music Player Fully enabled & working apps2sd Root Access w/ SuperUser 2.3.6 Busybox Installed & Working All Ads Blocked! Apps & Browser Smoked Glass Widgets (Credit to AdamZ) Minimum Brightness Hack Higher quality video recording HTC Toolbar / Toolbar Icons White Clock / All Ongoing Notifications Fixed (Music, Phone, etc) Big library of system sounds (All 2.0, 2.1, & 2.2) Droid X Ringtones Green Progress Bar Long WiFi Scan (Battery Saver) Ringer Delay Fix No file type restrictions for downloads (Without Download Crutch Lite) Music App by Elliot Stocker (slightly modified, white notication, smoked glass widget, no artwork borders) Pandora (1.5) in /system with matching white notifications and smoked glass widgets Droid X Video Player - Avi/Dixv support Video App Camcorder App (credit to 4wei) Includes Motoroi File Manager, Notes Widget, Slideshow widget, and World Clock widget MMS app from CyanogenMod (more customizable, including black background) Newest version of Google Maps (4.6) Newest version of Google Street View (1.6.0.6) Newest version of Gmail (2.3) Newest version of Google Search (1.1.1) Newest version of Voice Search (2.0.1) Newest version of SuperUser (2.3.6.1) Newest Version of Car Home (2.2.1) Newest Version of YouTube (2.0.2.6) Removed Twitter (Download from market) I removed Visual Voicemail & Amazon MP3 from /system/apps. In this release, I decided to leave Email & Car Home 2.2. If you want to remove it (or any other /system application) use Titanium Backup - free in market. Wired/Wireless Tether Tested & Working (no longer included) I highly recommend using Launcher Pro, It's free in the market. Much smoother than the stock Launcher.... Download link: sg102-update.zip Instructions... Backing up... Google saves your contacts, programs, settings, and bookmarks on the cloud. You can double-back up program with Titanium backup, which will also backup application settings You can back up text messages with a market app called "SMS Backup & Restore". File is in the UPDATE.ZIP format. Clockworkmod Place the file you downloaded anywhere on the SD Card. Easiest place would be the root directory. Chose "Install zip from sdcard" from the main menu Select "Chose zip from sdcard" Browse to the file (SG9-update.zip) and select it. Confirm the install, let it do it's magic. Reboot. SPRecovery Rename the file you downloaded to update.zip and place it in the root of the SD Card. Select Install from the main menu Select Allow update.zip Installation Select Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated) Reboot. If you are running the most recent version of my ROM, you may not need to wipe data/cache (factory reset). It's never a bad idea though. If you bootloop, that is the reason. Here's a few quick screenshots: Here are a few more cool apps while I'm at it... Get Wireless Tether Here: android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code Get Wired Tether Here: android-wired-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code SetCPU: Market (Support the Dev!) -or- SetCPU for Root Users [2.0.2] This *actually* changes everything. 08/02/2010 - xda-developers Chrome2Phone (Download Android Program from Market, Download plugin for your browser here) Downloads - chrometophone - Project Hosting on Google Code DroidX wallpapers. I do like the way you have LauncherPro setup. How did you get the launcher icons to look like that?
