I don't think I'd want to ride a KLR all the way to Prudhoe Bay though. At least get a V-Strom or something with some comfort I'm thinking...?

Yea most of that ride will be paved roads until the last. A KLR would kinda suck...IMHO. of course.

This is one of those things I look forward to when the kids are grown and outta the house. My wife used to ride and still wants to, but has no desire for racing. I look forward to being able to take off a few weeks and just go ride all over the country.

Have you talked to my dad about his KLR? He's got that Harley now, so he'd probably be okay with letting that one go.
