Judging by the pictures they published on their website, I think that a few of the organizers just walked around with pocket cameras. I went anyway, as a friend was competing, and took a few pictures like this:

The problem is that when they ask for full rights to the shots, for nothing, there's always someone around who will do it.

It's out now. Of course I had to correct a spelling mistake before actually releasing it, that showed up in my proof copy. Dammit! Three people proof read the thing and we all missed it.
