I think it looks like a clean install

I had one on my early 90's Grand Prix that would tow a 16' ski boat very well for the same reason: I didn't want/need a truck.

I am planning on installing one on the Subaru to tow the sled to places where there is actually snow (grumble).

To be honest, I'm guessing this will tow better than my old 4 banger S-10 did back in the day... A couple people here were like afraid I'd damage my engine/trans but I believe the Mustang Gt share a engine with the F150 so... Anyway, 200 lb trailer+ 2*400 lb bikes= no problem, I'd imagine. I will change my programmer setting just in case though....

If I was able to tow 2 bikes on a bike trailer with my little teeny weenie ford focus, then your mustang should be all right. Only thing is, when going up hill, if the car feels liek its lagging, or the flooor gets super hot, pull over and wait for your trans to cooldown, then buy and install a trans cooler. But I dont really see that ever happening

A guy I go to the track with recommended using that trex decking, he said to go to a lumber place and see if they have an unpopular color and see if they will let it go cheap.

its on my to do list, the plywood I have on there is def on its way out.

Pfffffffft, I'd worry more about scratching the bumper That motor/trans should be more than fine.

Clean install, serves a purpose while being hidden well when not in use. Well done.

Crap man, I would be interested... I have no idea when I'd be able to come through there and get it though...
