So no clue what I'm going to do. If I can find the windows CD I'll reboot the computer. God Damn virus' suck.

I do appreciate the help everyone.
Call or email microsoft and see if you can get a backup disc from them. They should be able to give you one free of charge. But then again its Microsoft theyre all money hungry.

Guess I should have specified you need to get to the MSDOS prompt. But if you format, you'll lose everything and need to re-install windows and all other files. My guess, you don't have any option, but I could be wrong. If that doesn't work, your hard drive might be screwed. I had to replace my hard drive in my laptop and start fresh. Sucked ass, but I luckily had MOST of the things I needed backed up on a flash drive. Had to rebuild a spreadsheet from several months of forgetting to update, but ok other than that.

I'm guessing I'll have to get a new computer. I had McAffee on my computer but it expired and wanted I think $100+ to renew for a bit or so I just kept putting it off. Now I'm about to pay for it.

I tried what I thought was a Windows CD and the computer wouldn't read it. A buddy of mine is a super computer nerd so I'm going to ask him what he thinks. Which will suck because I know squat about computers and he knows squat about bikes. Which means he'll probably have me fix his bike when it needs fixing. Luckily for me it's an 08 SV650s.

As for files. Well I tried hooking my MP3 player up to my computer in safe mode to see if I could get the rest of my music off. It wouldn't but most of my music is on my MP3 player. So I'm guessing a flash drive won't read either so I can save my pictures. Luckily the majority of my pictures are on Flickr. The only thing I'm really wanting is some of my videos that I have made(Non-porn vids). I do have them on youtube but unfortunately I can't save those from youtube.

Oh well hopefully I can figure it out.

oh yeah. How do I get to MSDOS Prompt???

You probably don't need a new computer, just a new hard drive. I have seen times when it's something different, but most likely, it's the drive. I'd be willing to bet your computer friend can fix it with ease.

if you REALLY must recover your stuff off your drive.... buy another... install the OS on that one... and use your current drive as a slave. you should be able to browse it as normally the problem is in the boot sector

I've been using computers for years and years and not once did I ever tell it "No" when something popped up and asked me a question. Probably about a year ago when I got my own computer I read what the crap said and often said "No" and I get screwed over.

But okay how much does a new Laptop Hard Drive go for? I have 60GBs worth of memory but would like more if it's not too pricey.

I also found out that Flickr does videos so I've been slowly uploading important vids to it that I can retieve(I hope) later.

Except one which is my most important video of a friend who is longer with me that is 152MBs with a 150mb limit. So I can't upload it. Which if I do get a new harddrive I'll upload it to sendspace and retrieve it later.

Thanks for the help guys. Glad to hear I may not have to get a completely new computer. I really didn't feel like forking out $1000 that I do not have.

check out newegg.com or tigerdirect.com I haven't looked at computer prices for a while... but they're usually pretty good.
