I suggest you never have kids because pets are waaaaaay easier to take care of. No joke. Pets don't lie, they never complain, that don't talk back to you, you only have to feed them once or twice a day and you never have to run your pet to football/soccer/boy scouts, tai kwon do/ school functions/birthday parties...... It never ends. Oh yeah and pets are cleaner than kids.

ah you've decided to get the best pet of all.....someone else's. leave at their house and go play with it now and then. leave it there when it's time to feed/clean/pick up after. Yeah I wish I would have gotten one of those. LOL

I thought rats were kind of sociable, I know like all rodents you do need to keep their cages clean. Tom |

Salt water aquarium. You don't have to deal with fur all over the place or the possibility to having an allergy to the animal. Low maintenance really compared to cats and dogs, you dont have to walk them and you can leave for a few days and notr have to hire a pet sitter or take them to a kennel. If they get sick you can let them die and just buy more. No expensive vet bills.. and the biggest reason. It is very relaxing to watch the fish swim around.

Well, since you said furry animals, I guess reptiles are out of the question.
Rats make most excellent pets. I prefer them over gerbils and hamsters. My son had a pet rat for a long time. It was funny to see him riding his bike down the street with the rat sitting on his shoulder. Even though you said furry, have you thought about a bird? Some make really cool pets too.

I guess it depends upon the bird. My roomies have a house full of pets. A pit, a kitteh, 2 spiders, a ferret, and 2 birds. Their birds are less maintainence than the ferret in their opinions.
I'll have to ask Shayne what kind of bird Jack is again. He's the best out of the two although he's an asshole. Among other things, he likes to do fly by's to unsuspecting people and then laughs if you duck. And he has an evil laugh. He's great!

I like rats, but I don't that A will want one. I want to get something should wouldn't mind having in the house since she will have to take care of it too. I wouldn't mind a bird, haven't ruled one out.
