You call 5 inches longer identical? Totally different class of car dude........That's like comparing a 7-series BMW to a 5-series.

Nobody in the world would cross-shop between an STS and an IS. You should have said CTS and IS.

If anything, the STS would compete with the LS, not the IS.

If I were forced to choose between the 2 I'd go with the Caddy.

Toyota's are boring and lifeless to drive and the IS350 is designed for people who either have ovaries or think that Asian anything is better by default.

If it were the older IS300, I'd choose that.

There are other cars for the $$$ that I would rather have but between these two I'd probably take the Lexus.
