I hear ya man. I was down the road a little at Camp Lejeune for a few years not too long after that. When I went to Fayetteville after I joined the Marines I made sure I didn't wear any 'USMC' gear when out bar hopping at night with my civilian friends from Dunn.

I work for a large corporation and nobody here is supposed to be armed at all except for some security guys and off duty police officers that are hired by the bank.

I have worked in regular corporate security and then later executive protection on an off through the years here and they actually bought my Glock 27 for me several years ago. They had me buy it in my name and then accounts payable reimbursed me.

Those are the kinds of policies that a lot of courts have upheld as non-enforceable. But, they would probably still fire you.

that's the kind of job I need!! One that buys me guns.

we're not allowed to even hint at having a gun in our vehicles in the parking lot here. I like to mess with people and every now and then park outside of the fence. someone always asks "do you have a gun in your truck today?"
just smirk and walk away, then the whispers start. love it.

yeah I just spent as much time as possible in Myrtle Beach. Had that roadtrip down to the minute, in time to have 1/2 hour nap then into formation. LOL

The only incident I've ever had was back in 1993. I was at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque then and I "think" that it was a weekend day, probably Saturday. I was driving to lunch with my then honey and we were at a stop light on Central Blvd right at the campus heading east. I heard some engine revving to my left and I looked over to see two youths looking at me revving engine in some POS lowrider. I was in my turbo Probe GT then (loved that car). The light turned green and I stomped it, but as fate decreed, the next light turned red. So the passenger punk stuck his head out & asked me if I think I'm fast. I said yes and he said if I think I'm faster than a bullet.

I pulled out my P220 and the chick started to panick. I just cycled the slide and unchambered the round in there, reached out and threw it in their car. Their eyes popped open. The light turned green and they hauled ass.

The chick then ragged on me about the shit afterward. I told her that I don't take it lightly when people threaten me with physical violence. We broke up soon afterward. Fucking liberal bitch. She did have a hot bod though. Nipples that would poke your eyes out. Too bad this was the pre-digital pocket camera era.

Yea, I didn't quite understand that response either? The last thing I'm going to do if someone is threatening me is A) Let them know I'm armed and B) Throw them the bullet from my chamber.

GF's employer is the same way. I told her to tell them that I was driving the vehicle that day, and dropped her off.

It sucks that I will not be able to carry at work when I get back either.

Been carrying for about 5 yrs with my CCW, use to open carry some mostly during hunting season.

Only time that I felt threatened was at a strip mall parking lot late at night with my wifes cousin. Walking to the car some guy (late teens early 20's in all black suit and shirt, but wearing driving gloves, (think of Hitman minus being bald) was running between cars to cut us off.

I told my buddy to hold on, reach my hand to my gun on my side. It was still mostly covered and holstered. Almost to us he went to reach into his inner suit pocket at the same asking if we have accepted Christ.

I quickly yelled at him to stop kinda startling him before he could finish his sentance. Then asked him if he had a fucking clue how stupid it was to run up on people at night wearing all black and then go reaching into a pocket.

He just mumbled sorry to us. He wanted to give us a card to some church.
