I vote making a news only forum. That was done at the "other" site which I thought brought a shitty dynamic in that you only got a select group of forum members to go in there and post.

Leave it as is.

Did you miss the "no"? Initially, I thought you wanted a news only forum but towards the end, I got the impression that you don't...

I don't understand why it's a "shitty dynamic" to only have people interested in that sort of thing in there. I mean, since you guys joined up, we've had a Fla sub-forum, a ladies sub-forum, etc. Why not a "news" section? It'll allow those that aren't interested to block it and everyone else can leave it open. What's wrong with that?

I clicked on "new posts" and got approx 20 hits, 17 of which were "off topic" and 15 of those were news items, What's wrong with making it possible for me and other like minded individuals to block these if we choose? How does it harm or affect anyone else? You don't have to block the news section, right?

I agree that a news subforum might be a good idea. Off topic can be sooooo many different things that it can't hurt to lump all the news together.

I dont know why we need another sub-forum, if the news is bothering people move it to the War Room.

Every time I suggested that I got shit. Besides, not all news items are inflammatory. I have war room blocked but I'd imagine that they have a ton of traffic already. No need to clog that area up further. It's funny that a lot of people are reacting as if it's a big deal to make a sub-forum. The only person that has any reason to have a problem with it is Trip, since he has to do the actual work. Nothing will change other than members will have the ability to block it if they choose.
