And if you find yourself tired when getting up near Indy, I'm about an hour west and you can stay here for free. I'm probably way too far out of your way, but just wanted you to know you have the option.

Thanks for the offer Avery. I might not make it that far on the first day, probably going to stop in Kentucky since that is about the half way point. I still have your number so if I do make it that far I'll call you.

Finally got to ride today. It was nice ( over 40* ) this morning so I rode in to work.

Nice easy cruise in ( until a comcast van ran a stop sign causing me to slam on the brakes. I kept my high beams on and the fucker flicked his cigarette UP in an attempt to hit me )

Nice being on two wheels again

Jeff

Another 45-ish miles today. About 30 on my bike, and 15 or so on dad's dinosaur H1. Strangest thing I've ever ridden- tall skinny tires, long skinny tank, long seat, weak brakes, weird footpegs, kick start, carbs... I thank the motorcycle gods for electric start, FI, real brakes, grippy tires. real suspension, and a tank you can hold with your knees. That said, I'd have fun on a modern two-stroke street bike.
